How can I make sure to transfer successfully to a competitive University in a diff. state?

Before you make any hasty decisions be sure that you are eligible to become a resident. With the economy as it is states are making it almost impossible to become a resident if you go to school at the same time because they want the out of state tuition. In many states you have to be 24 years old and become a resident by working etc and NOT going to school. You can become a resident if your parents move there for a year however. Good luck!
