Good first date locations between El Paso, TX and Corpus Christi, TX?

Been in a long distance relationship for the past few months and now we've both decided it's time to meet in person. We both agreed somewhere in between but don't know too much since we're both only in Texas for a limited time. Both of us are interested in a variety of things so nothing is really off limits, just not sure "where" would be best and could use some brainstorming. Thanks!!!
