Feeling nervous about leaving home?

well im 17 and ive been always attached to my parents but recently i got invited to go to work in illinois (i live in texas) by a friend of mine and his family.ive never been away from my parents and im scared that if i go i will miss being at home and being with them... this is an opportunity that i have to think about since i will not be with them my whole life but i just feel that i will be feeling lonely without them when i go to work... its only for four weeks..........i need some feedback on what should i do or think about to make this trip feel safe for me....by the way i have social anxiety problems maybe thats what makes me even more nervous...
